The Diplomatic Club Expands to Japan, Hosts CEO Roundtable & Diplomatic Night

The theme of the event, “The Emergence of the Global South, Viksit Bharat 2047, and Incredible India to Invincible India,” underscored the vital role India plays in the evolving global trade ecosystem.

 

The Diplomatic Club (TDC), New Delhi, hosted its flagship event, the CEO Round Table Conference & The Diplomatic Night, on November 29, 2024, in New Delhi. This event also marked a significant milestone with the launch of TDC’s Japan Chapter, symbolizing a new era of collaboration between India and Japan.

 

The theme of the event, “The Emergence of the Global South, Viksit Bharat 2047, and Incredible India to Invincible India,” underscored the vital role India plays in the evolving global trade ecosystem. Bringing together ambassadors from over 40 countries and more than 50 CEOs from leading Indian corporations, the CEO Round Table focused on topics such as trade opportunities and challenges, India’s leadership in the Global South, the role of diplomacy in economic growth, and advancements in trade technology.

 

Adding to its global outreach, the event also emphasized youth engagement and empowerment. The Diplomatic Club is set to launch youth and science exchange programs along with Model UN Simulations. To nurture future leaders, Young Diplomatic Clubs will be established in Indian universities, providing students with unique platforms to engage with international diplomacy and global issues.

 

The event also aims to support Indian MSMEs by utilizing diplomatic channels to amplify their global presence, opening new markets and fostering international trade. Partnerships with esteemed global organizations such as the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and Interpol will further bolster initiatives that align with Sustainability and Development Goals (SDGs).

 

Prominent figures including Lt. Gen. Anil Bhalla (Retd.), former Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency, Mugdha Sinha, IAS, Director General at the Ministry of Tourism, and Shri Rajendra Singh, Member and Head of the National Disaster Management Authority, graced the occasion. Heads of leading institutions such as NIELIT and ISB, senior IAS and IPS officers, and business leaders from across the globe were also in attendance.

 

Dr. Murthy Devarabhotla, Global President of The Diplomatic Club, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This event reflects our commitment to leveraging diplomacy as a tool for economic growth and fostering cultural understanding. By creating meaningful dialogues and partnerships, we aim to amplify trade and cultural collaborations that resonate globally.”

 

The launch of the Japan Chapter represents a landmark moment for The Diplomatic Club, paving the way for deeper bilateral ties and collaborative opportunities in trade, innovation, and cultural exchange.
