MB Patil Unveils Invest Karnataka 2025 As Part Of Delhi Road Show

Honourable Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, MB Patil unveiled the upcoming Invest Karnataka Summit 2025 (Global Investors Meet 2025) in New Delhi on 10 September, 2024. 

The theme for this edition, ‘Reimagining Growth’, reflects Karnataka’s commitment to fostering growth that is tech-driven, green, inclusive, and resilient. Invest Karnataka 2025 will feature over 100 diverse speakers, and 30+ technical and cultural sessions, and attract more than 5,000 senior delegates. The summit serves as a premier platform for thought leadership and a collaborative forum between industry and government. Highlights include the inaugural SME Connect 2025, the second edition of VentuRISE – the Global Startup Challenge, and the Startup Conclave. Invest Karnataka 2025 is dedicated to advancing Karnataka's manufacturing landscape, encompassing both large industries and startups, as well as SMEs.

The meeting brought together ambassadors, high commissioners, and prominent industry and business leaders, fostering discussions on strengthening economic partnerships. Dr Selvakumar S, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industries, and Gunjan Krishna, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director, Department of Commerce and Industries, were also in attendance, underscoring Karnataka’s commitment to driving industrial growth and investment opportunities

Patil emphasised that Invest Karnataka 2025 is more than just another investor meet. It will feature innovative sessions aimed at real-time discussions and collaborative learning among industry leaders. The event will prioritise startups and MSMEs alongside multinational corporations, ensuring that investments lead to tangible benefits for the community.

 He further stated, “Today, Karnataka is a global leader, home to 45 unicorns and nearly 40 per cent of the country’s upcoming unicorns, supported by a vibrant ecosystem of investors, R&D centres, and tech innovators. We are not only building an ecosystem where innovative ideas can thrive but also establishing a stronger connection between financial investments and our state’s unique identity. Together, we will shape a Karnataka that is prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable for all. The Invest Karnataka Summit 2025 promises to be a landmark event, laying the groundwork for the state's continued growth and global leadership in industry, innovation, and culture.”

The summit will also showcase Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage, integrating elements of its vibrant identity with the state’s technological advancements. Attendees will witness the inaugural ‘Future of Innovation Expo’, a showcase of cutting-edge innovations across sectors like electronics, healthcare, and space technology. This platform will offer live demonstrations and interactive experiences, underscoring Karnataka’s leadership in technology.

Additionally, the summit will launch the second edition of VentuRISE – the Global Startup Challenge, recognising and supporting startups in sectors like ESDM, Clean Mobility, and Aerospace & Defence. Participants will have the opportunity to secure funding, gain mentorship, and engage with industry leaders and venture capitalists.

Earlier in the morning, on 8 September, 2024, Patil met with H.E. Simon Wong Wie Kuen, the Singapore High Commissioner, to explore potential areas of collaboration between Karnataka and Singapore. They discussed the recent MoU signed between India and Singapore, aimed at fostering cooperation in semiconductors, digital advancements, healthcare, medical research, education, and skill development. 

The High Commissioner highlighted the interest of Singaporean companies in establishing net-zero industrial parks, in response to the growing demand for sustainable manufacturing practices. He also expressed the strong interest of Singaporean businesses in investing in sectors such as data centres, MRO, medical device manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Patil extended an invitation to Singapore to participate as a country partner in the upcoming Global Investors Meet, Invest Karnataka 2025, celebrating the deepening ties between the two regions.
