On Saturday, Kratos Gaming Network (KGeN) hosted a meetup in Kolkata, to inspire and educate the next generation of gamers about Web3 gaming. The event highlighted the potential for income opportunities and alternative career paths within the industry.
The event drew over 70 students from Kolkata, mostly around 21 years old to explore the future of blockchain technology. Aimed at showcasing Web3 gaming as a viable career path, the highlight was a session with Swastik Ghosh, a 21-year-old Bachelor of Management Studies student from Kolkata. His story, infused with the city's art and creativity demonstrated how dedication and passion, supported by KGeN, can transform a hobby into a career.
The event featured Samim, a 24-year-old who balanced helping his father’s business with his passion for gaming. Joining KGeN in November 2023, he started with a clan of just two members. His leadership and skills quickly attracted more players, driving rapid growth. His journey exemplified how young gamers can turn their passion into a viable income source. Samim and others shared their experiences, illustrating how Web3 gaming can offer alternative income options.
Through such meet-ups, KGeN aims to educate young people about blockchain gaming's career potential, planning college competitions and expert discussions to challenge misconceptions about gaming careers in the Web3 tech space.
Harsha Nandi, a leaderboard player credits KGeN for his financial independence, as it was the first Web3 gaming platform where he earned money playing blockchain games. He looks forward to further opportunities with KGeN to advance his successful gaming career.
KGeN's Proof-of-Gamer (PoG) engine empowers gamers like Animesh by recognizing their skills and allowing them to own their data. The program transforms gaming into a rewarding pursuit, fostering a supportive environment for building successful careers.
