Events are progressively a larger part of media and advertising: Sabbas Joseph

The BW Applause Conclave & Awards 2017 recognizes the contributions and developments made by the events industry of India. The keynote at the conclave was delivered by Sabbas Joseph, the co-founder of India's most known and successful event agency Wizcraft, who steers an even larger ship for the industry as the President of the Event and Entertainment Management Association. The many events he along with his team of over 300 ‘Wizes’ have executed include Michael Jackson’s India Tour, India’s 50th celebration of Independence, the world famous IIFA Awards, the most recent Global Citizen India, and so on.

In his address Joseph encouraged the events industry to embrace change and look at new ways to engage the modern customers.

The speech was directed towards understanding the meaning of perfection and efforts that event companies strive to achieve. Joseph also shared his insight about the progress made by the industry and drove motivation and confidence in event companies present in audience.

In his words, "Events are progressively becoming a larger part of media and advertising." Many brands have started to see potential in advertising through events. This is gaining confidence in becoming a strong medium for communications, he said.

Speaking about the first edition of the conclave and Awards, Joseph said, "BW Applause is a part of us. It stands for the applause that we work for with hard work and dedication.”

While closing his speech he also elaborated the future endeavors of the emerging industry, "I want the relationship of exchange4media, BW Businessworld and event industry to grow in such way that it helps accelerate the business of events in the country."

The e4m BW Applause Conclave & Awards aims to recognize and honour the quality work experiential agencies are producing in the space of events and experiential marketing across categories. It is also a platform for setting standards and benchmarking exemplary event marketing by recognizing creativity and originality delivered by agency partners.
