Advantage Services organizes 'Ummeed Ki Udaan' in Bihar, EEMA partners

Advantage Conclave: Bihar 3.0- Ummeed Ki Udaan was hosted by Advantage Services on April 16, 2016 at Hotel Maurya, Patna. The event, was inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister of Bihar – Mr Nitish Kumar, and witnessed participation of an eclectic panel of intelligentsia. The inauguration was followed by his one-on-one interaction with an eminent journalist Mr Shekhar Gupta. During the discussion Mr Nitish Kumar shared his views on his vision of Bihar 2025.

The Conclave was a knowledge session to focus on several critical issues that revolve around Bihar- to help get a better insight into the present socio-political and economic aspects of the state. It turned out to be a well-rounded informative program. Bihar 3.0- Ummeed Ki Udaan aims at exploring the potential of Bihar with respect to its market performance (business), governance, infrastructure, education and other important sectors. The guests and speakers were engaged in talks related to perceptions about Bihar versus the reality.

It was a step taken to bring Bihar in the national spotlight by breaking the stereotypical image of a ‘backward’ Bihar and to prove that over the years the state has progressed on all fronts. It seeks to bring together the veterans from the PR, Event and media industry on one platform to brainstorm with the object to pursue the goal of development in Bihar.

The conclave was conceptualized by the Advantage Media Group which was also the official host of the event. Gearing for its 25th Anniversary in May 2017 the annual Advantage Conclave has been initiated in order to honour the Group’s 24 years of work in the industry. The Advantage Group has also joined hands with two of the biggest names in the Communications and Event world, PRCAI and EEMA. The working theme of the first edition of the Advantage Conclave was ‘Bihar 3.0 Ummeed Ki Udaan… the next step towards Bihar’s growth’. The objective was two-fold; firstly to highlight the key issues, challenges, opportunities and aspirations of Bihar and secondly to showcase some of the successful Biharis’ by recognizing ten proud sons/daughters of Bihar who have made us proud in their chosen fields by breaking free from the shackles of a ‘backward’ society.

Around six panel discussions covering topics like ‘Communicating for a new Bihar: Challenges and Opportunities’, ‘Young & Restless: The Dilemma of the Youth to Drive Change’, ‘The Path to a Healthy Bihar’, ‘Showcasing Bihar’, ‘Education in Bihar: Expectation versus Reality’, and ‘The Untold Bihar’ took place. There was a participation by 35 speakers who proposed ideas to deal with issues of serious concern in the fields of education, health, communication, entertainment and so on.

Key note speakers included Shri Nitish Kumar on ‘How can Bihar develop in the next decade?’; Sanjay Seth, Chief of Operations, Healis- Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health on ‘SWASTH BIHAR: Tobacco Free Bihar’ and B K Radhika Behen, Spiritual Leader on ‘Stress Free Life’.

The conclave was a conglomeration of the ‘crème de la crème’ of the PR and event world members, policy makers, bureaucrats, corporates, educationists, NGOs, media representatives, government leaders and citizens of Bihar, amongst others. The aim was to collaboratively understand factors that will help facilitate the development of Bihar.

A few eminent speakers included Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister, Bihar; Ashok Choudhary, Education Minister, Bihar; Nitin Mantri, President, PRCAI; Sabbas Joseph, President, EEMA; Shishir Sinha, Founder Member-Secretary, Business Editor, ABP News Network; Anand Kumar, Founder, Ramanujan School of Mathematics (Super 30); Syed Saba Karim, Former Indian Cricketer; Ishteyaque Amjad, Vice President, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia; Yameen Mazumder, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF Bihar and others.

The conclave concluded with a Felicitation and Valedictory ceremony chaired by the Hon’ble judges of Patna High Court. Under this Ten Sons/Daughters of Bihar were felicitated for their contribution in their respective industries. We are hopeful that this initiative will definitely help turn the dream of a better and brighter future for Bihar into reality and give a whole new meaning to ‘Bihar’.
