Excerpts:
How are live artists adjusting to the lockdown and COVID times?
These are tough times and as the saying goes, 'tough times make tough people.' Artists being creative people are exploring new ways to communicate, interact and entertain audiences through digital medium.
With everything happening online, the live events industry went through a big transformation as well. How did you adapt to this change?
Amidst lockdown the business has transitioned to virtual space. From setting up a home office with capabilities to cater to virtual events and exploring new ways of interacting with the audience, we all are learning to adapt to the changed world.
Afterall, it's all about providing that personalized touch to your audiences that remain with them for times to come.
Tell us about some of your recent events.
The spirit of humanity is always enthralling. Even during the pandemic the football mania is unstoppable. I hosted the Budweiser trophy tour and fan club virtual meet of Liverpool FC last week with stand up comedians Rahul Subramanian, Anirban Das etc.
I have also hosted some other events like Family day for Yamaha, Team Building session for Maruti to name a few.
Has the online transition made your job easy? Tell us some of the positives of hosting events online?
Like everything else in life, pros and cons comes with it too. To begin with, hosting an event from the comfort of your air-conditioned room is one of the biggest boon.
It has also pushed artists to innovate new ways to entertain the audiences that is surely going to open up new horizons for live artists.
Tell us some of the challenges that you have faced while hosting a virtual event.
The most essential part of being a host to any show is creating, uplifting and managing the energy exchange with your audience.
Capturing the attention and guiding it to where it's needed by the brand is the most challenging endeavour on the virtual platform.
