Titan Company has unveiled its jewellery brand Tanishq in Bangladesh as part of its international expansion strategy.
On 28 June, 2024 the Tata Group-managed firm signed a joint venture agreement with Rhythm Group to introduce Tanishq in the Bangladeshi market, according to a joint statement.
The joint venture will start with the establishment of a manufacturing facility in Narayanganj, Bangladesh.
In addition to its domestic market, Titan is extending Tanishq's international presence, currently operating 17 stores across the UAE, US, Qatar, Singapore, and Oman.
Its watch business spans across SAARC, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and Southeast Asian regions. Over recent years, Titan has prioritized expanding its flagship jewellery brand Tanishq internationally.
Established in 1972, Rhythm Group originally focused on producing indigenous textile fabrics, later diversifying into various sectors.
Through this partnership, Titan intends to merge Tanishq's exceptional craftsmanship and brand heritage with Rhythm Group's extensive market reach and local knowledge in Bangladesh. This collaboration aims to manufacture and market jewellery tailored for the discerning Bangladeshi consumer base.
C K Venkataraman, MD, Titan Company said, "Together, we will leverage our combined strengths to elevate the jewellery industry in Bangladesh and make Bangladesh the hub for making Tanishq Exquisite Jewellery for the world.”
