Taiwan Tourism Administration Unveils Taiwan Specialist Program

In a bid to foster stronger ties between Taiwan and the Indian tourism market, the Taiwan Tourism Administration has unveiled a new initiative, the ‘Taiwan Specialist Program’. This e-learning program is crafted to educate and empower Indian travel professionals about the myriad attractions of Taiwan, positioning it as a tourist destination for Indian travellers.

Dubbed ‘Time For Taiwan, the program comprises nine modules covering a wide array of topics, ranging from cultural insights and visa procedures to transportation options, accommodation choices, itinerary planning, MICE incentives, Indian restaurants and venues.

Upon successful completion of each module, participants undergo a rigorous question-and-answer session to assess their understanding and unlock the next module. Those who achieve a score of 70 per cent or higher will earn the title of ‘Taiwan Specialist’ certified by the Taiwan Tourism Administration.

This initiative aims to equip Indian travel professionals with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively promote and sell Taiwan as a premier travel destination.

Noel Saxena, representing the Taiwan Tourism Administration in India, said, “We are thrilled to launch the Taiwan Specialist Program, which underscores our commitment to strengthening partnerships with Indian travel professionals. By providing them with in-depth knowledge about Taiwan, we aim to enhance their ability to showcase Taiwan’s unique offerings to Indian travellers.”
