State Bank of India is back with its flagship event the ‘SBI Green Marathon’ where participants run to create awareness about and make efforts toward sustainable practices.
The marathon saw participation from more than 5,000 volunteers. It was flagged off by C S Setty, MD and Binod Kumar Mishra, DMD (HR) and CDO at Bandra Kurla Complex.
This is the fourth edition of the SBI's marathon, the first one after the pandemic. Before the pandemic, the bank conducted these marathons to raise awareness about the discrepancies causing the ecosystem to degrade due to human practices. The marathon brings together enthusiastic runners to promote environmental sustainability and inculcate the belief of ‘healthy living for today to create a better tomorrow’.
The marathon was held for three categories i.e. 21 km, 10 km and 5 km.
