Mumbai Port Authority & K2K Sports Management Unveil ‘Maritime 10K Challenge’

Havas Play India has been revealed as the support partner and MyGalf as the corporate wellness partner for the 'Maritime 10K Challenge', organised by K2K Sports Management in association with the Mumbai Port Authority. The event is set to take place on 3 March 2024 and promises to combine fitness, environmental stewardship and community engagement.

The 'Maritime 10K Challenge’ aims to galvanise individuals and corporations alike towards a cleaner and healthier marine ecosystem. The event comes on the heels of Havas Play India’s first IP in India ‘Ganga Kinare’, focussed on conserving the river Ganga for future generations.

Scheduled to commence at Princess Dock, Mumbai, participants will journey through Mumbai docks along the ocean, cruise ships and the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (Atal Setu).

In a joint statement with K2K, MyGalf and Havas Play, Kiran Phadnis and Kapil Arora, Partners of K2K, Amit Vasistha, CEO, MyGalf and R. Venkatasubramanian, Managing Director, Havas Play, said, “This is yet another exciting collaboration for us. One of our guiding principles is making a meaningful difference to society at large. Arora, Race Director who is also an Ironman 140.6 miles Triathlete and partner, K2K Sports Management emphasises the event's significance, stating, "The 'Maritime 10K Challenge' is more than just a run; it's an opportunity to make a tangible difference. By running within the private space of the Mumbai Port Trust Dock area, participants actively contribute to the cause of cleaner oceans and a healthier planet."

The event will feature various age categories, including competitive and non-competitive runs (5 km, 10 km), walks (3 km), and a competitive cycling race (10 km). Additionally, the corporate challenge will recognise contributions in areas such as participation, charity, creativity and enthusiasm.
