IIT Kanpur Presents Theatre, Kavi Sammelan, Mehfil: Antaragni 2023
Antaragni 2023 of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) began day three with the ‘Poetry Slam’ event, where poets and wordsmiths shared their art. Simultaneously, the ‘Roots’ took attendees on an exploration of cultural heritage.
The third day witnessed the finale of the four-month-long event ‘Junoon’. ‘Kavyanjali’ and ‘Mono Act’ offered a stage for budding poets and actors to showcase their talents.
The ‘Stage Play Finale’ featured the talents in the realm of theatrical arts. Throughout the day, the ‘Antaragni Idol Prelims’ unveiled musical talents in the student community. The event extended to the world of pageantry with the ‘Mr. & Ms. Antaragni Finale’. Yogita Bhayan, leader of People Against Rape in India (PARI), also made her presence felt at the event.
The alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Abhay K Bhushan, shared his stories of success and innovation. ‘Nrityangana’ saw dance performances while poetry and music converged at the ‘Kavi Sammelan’ and ‘Mehfil’. ‘Kavi Sammelan’ was an assembly of poets like Shabeena Adeeb, Pankaj, Mukul, Mukesh, and Prabudha.
The ‘EDM Night’ featured beats from ‘The Lost Stories’, while the ‘Comic Kaun’ finale offered a night of laughter.
The Ritambhara finale showcased talent, judged by a distinguished panel including Anveshi Jain, Payal Sen, Parvati Nair, Ayeesha Aiman, Vicky Sidana, Madhura Naik, Aasma Hussain, Neha Batham, and Kashish Rajput. The Talent Fiesta featured a magic show and groove and soothe event.
The day concluded with the Battle Underground, where participants showcased their lyrical prowess as rap battles unfolded.
