The Goa tourism department has forged a strategic alliance with Yoska, the organisers of the Ironman 70.3 India race, to bolster sports tourism in the region. During the recent Goa International Travel Mart at Dona Paula, Suneel Anchipaka, Director, Goa Tourism and Neil D'silva, Deputy Race Director, Ironman 70.3 India formalised this collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Anchipaka expressed the department's vision to establish Goa as a premier sports tourism destination, capitalising on its natural beauty and dynamic atmosphere to attract tourists worldwide. The partnership with Yoska is instrumental in curating and promoting sporting events that showcase Goa's finest offerings.
Since its inception in 2019, Ironman 70.3 India in Goa has garnered participation from thousands of triathletes hailing from India and 50 other countries.
