It depicts the hurdles faced by couples in search of reliable and affordable fertility assistance, while sensitively portraying the unfair blame placed on women in marriages. Through empathetic exploration of these issues, it encourages viewers to champion women's reproductive rights.

Directed by Gaurav Mehra, 'The Golden Egg' features a cast, including Chandan Roy Sanyal from Amazon Prime's 'Panchayat,' known for his roles in 'Choona' and 'Shehar Lakhot.' Swati Rajput takes on the female lead. The 17-minute short film unravels a complex network of false identities, urging viewers to verify the legitimacy of IVF centres in India.
