Delhi's Schoolgirl Suhani Chauhan Awarded Arya Navachar Samman

She has been recognised for her innovation – a ‘Suraksha Kavach’ during the ‘Rashtriya Arya Buddhijivi Sammelan’

Suhani Chauhan, a student of Class XII, Amity International School, Pushp Vihar New Delhi, has been conferred with ‘Arya Navachar Samman’, for her innovation, a ‘Suraksha Kavach’, during the ‘Rashtriya Arya Buddhijivi Sammelan, held at Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. Chauhan has designed the ‘Suraksha Kavach’, a safety shield made of an aluminium sheet with a handle, which protects from the intense heat of a Yagya Kund. This Kavach is already patented.

Chief Guest, Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Lok Sabha congratulated Chauhan, lauded her novel effort, and her attempt towards nation-building and stressed the significance of innovation. She advised everyone to imbibe the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, which are in sync with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

Speaking about her idea, Chauhan said, “I’m extremely honoured to receive this award and give credit to my grandparents. In our house and school, havan is performed every day, wherein all family members participate. I would watch Shastriji struggle with intense heat while performing the yagya, which gave me the idea to develop a shield to protect from the yagya heat and now I feel that this would be beneficial for the society.”

Chauhan has also been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Award this year, for her innovation, ‘So-Apt’ a unique solar-operated Agri-vehicle, to transform the agriculture sector.

Also present on the occasion were Thakur Vikram Singh, Anil Arya, National President, Kendriya Arya Yuvak Parishad, Delhi; Anand Chauhan Trustee RBEF and other Arya Samaj members.
