India CSR Summit & Exhibition, South Asia’s largest CSR, SDGs and social impact forum is back in its 6th Edition at New Delhi. To be held on 23rd and 24thSeptember 2019 at Hotel Pullman & Novotel, New Delhi, the Summit brings together business leaders, board directors, CSR foundations, impact investors, philanthropists, innovators, government agencies, the UN bodies and non-profits leaders to explore synergies and co-create solutions. The 2- day enriching conclave will be inaugurated by Shri. Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The inaugural panel will also host the launch of the most-promising India CSR Outlook Report 2019, highlighting how companies are complying with the CSR Rules and how has been the CSR fund flow in the areas of education, healthcare, livelihoods, POSHAN Abhiyaan and Skill development.
Mr. Bhomik Shah, CEO, NGOBOX and CSRBOX shared, "The 2019 event is of greater importance for us as India enters in the sixth year of CSR compliance. Indian businesses spent close to INR 55,000 Cr on development projects in past five years to help India move towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is the time for us to take a pause, think, re-think and realign to get the best out of each penny that goes for community impacts". Few interesting discourses to watch out for are India Poshan Forum, highlighting Malnutrition in India, India Skill Forum 2.0 to highlight the need of Indian Villages: Rural Development through CSR, India Water Forum: Bringing Water at the Centre of CSR Agenda and more.
The event will also host ‘India Poshan Forum’ where a few large companies from India will commit to investing and working towards POSHAN Abhiyaan to make it a janandolan. India Water Forum, a crucial session on how businesses can play a role in addressing India’s water issues, will be chaired by Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Government of India while leading organizations like
HUL, Dalmia Bharat Ltd, Arvind Ltd and Swades Foundation will join the forum and talk about their initiatives.
The 6th India CSR Summit & Exhibition on 23rd and 24th September 2019 at Hotel Pullman & Novotel, New Delhi will see a diverse mix of conference, exhibition, workshops, keynotes, Masterclasses, product demos, un-conferencing sessions and SDGs town hall, the Summit has a lot to share and learn for everyone in the business and social impact sectors. The event is all set to host over 3200 delegates from 1900 organizations with over 60 hours of talks in two days.
This is the first time that a CSR Summit will also host Technology and Start-ups event to help India’s technology based startups to connect with the social sector organizations. India’s social problem solving requires leveraging technology in education, healthcare, agriculture and water conservation. There are over 70+ startups and innovators that will be presenting their innovative solutions that can be used by companies in their CSR projects. Eminent institutes like IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay based incubators have partnered with the event to provide platform to their incubates.
The technology session ‘Tech for Impact Asia’ will be chaired by Prof. K. Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
