Miss Universe 2021: India's Harnaaz Sandhu Wins Crown

Harnaaz Sandhu, 21-year-old from Punjab, representing India at the 70th Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel, won the crown, 21 years after Lara Dutta won the title in 2000. She beat contestants Paraguay and South Africa to claim the crown.
Sandhu was presented the crown by Andrea Meza, former Miss Universe 2020 from Mexico at the event which was live-streamed globally. The first and the second runners-up were Paraguay and South Africa respectively.
Sandhu also took to Twitter and wrote, "Finally the great day has come! I feel very fortunate to represent my beloved country, have no doubt that I will do my best to get the crown for India, that is the great goal of all, and today one of us will finally be able to fulfill it."
