Kerala To Host International Conference On Responsible & Gender-inclusive Tourism
October event aims to showcase sustainable tourism success and further inclusive development
Kerala is set to host an international conference on responsible and gender-inclusive tourism this October, highlighting its successful initiatives in participatory tourism development. The event will showcase Kerala’s sustainable and gender-inclusive tourism model, which has significantly benefited local communities.
Reportedly, Rupeshkumar K., CEO, Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission Society, mentioned that the conference will feature discussions involving experts, policymakers, cultural personalities, conservationists and civil society members from India and abroad.
Previously, the Global Responsible Tourism Summit held in Kumarakom in February 2023 drew global attention and led to the adoption of the Kerala Responsible Tourism Declaration 2023.
